Actually, I could see myself as a sushi chef.
I’m not formally trained, but I am a quick study, thanks to countless visits to Japanese restaurants over the years, several stops in, seated at sushi bars in California, Hawaii, and Arizona, and, of course, browsing through recipes I’m books, and online.
I’ve become good at reverse engineering some of my favorite rolls I’ve had, and figuring out fun stuff, like how to deep fry tempura-coated rolls, and not have them get stuck to the deep fryer basket.
