#116 – We Interrupt This Hiatus… Relocated in Phoenix!

Yes, for the last three months since the April 7 post, my world’s been tied up in getting a few more “bucket list” things out of the way, while preparing for a relocation to Phoenix, AZ, for the next few years. (Give or take)

I miss California, and all my friends there, and I hope to visit as often as I can, but perhaps, like my new “home” city’s namesake, I’ll have a chance to be reborn, and refocus on what I need to do.

However, I did get a few more things out of the way…

#114 – Mini-FAQ (Mirrored from Facebook)

And now, for those who just joined us – I’m going to attempt to explain what my Facebook is all about?

Am I full-time?: No, and it may be quite some time – There’s a long journey ahead of me, and I’m still figuring things out.
What types of photos do I post?: Mostly me looking cute, or as formal as I can get, usually blending in with every other girl out there. I’ll leave the more daring flights of fantasy for when I slim down. I’d say I’ve got over 100 pounds to go, and I am managing about 3 pounds a week weight loss on average, after about five weeks back on track with Weight Watchers.
Some of your posts don’t seem to make sense!: It happens. I usually post whatever’s on my mind, and a lot of my posts are rather me-centric.
Are you out to anyone?: A handful of friends, including those I told, and those who found me from my “boy” Facebook. (No, I’m not telling you who it is. ^_^;)
Have you done any risque photos?: Yes, but not everyone get to see them. Don’t ask. You will know when you’re in the clique. ^_^;
What’s with the music, movie clips, and video/computer game posts?: Hey, I’m a gamergirl, sort of, and I have my pop culture loves. I’m still easily impressionable! ^_^;
Why do you follow the stereotypical expectations of liking anime and Hello Kitty?: Hey – I was an anime fan even when I was all the way in the closet, (cosplay kind of helped me prepare for getting out!) and Hello Kitty was because I’m making up for the childhood I didn’t get. (I envied my sis, and other girls, even grown-ups who still like Sanrio stuff. I have a small collection, but my anime VHS tape and DVD — and laserdiscs — are taking up more room than I have shelf space for!)
Did you start out dressing up as a fetish?:
(*sigh*) Yes… but the important thing is that it is not the sole reason.
Have you been out in public?: Several times, since my first few steps out in early October 2010 – I usually get out about 2-4 times a month, sometimes more, depending on week to week.
Do you see yourself living full-time eventually?: Most likely, yes… But life is an adventure, and I’m trying to make the most of that adventure, and where it takes me, and hopefully not struggling and sacrificing too much along the way.

#113 – Perhaps mini-posts, or Best Of Facebook?

Just a thought, since I seem to spend most of my time on FB. (http://www.facebook.com/julieanne.morgan3) – What do I post there? Whatever’s on my mind.

I’ve been out quite a few times in March, at least three separate occasions, all have been quite good times, most of them out in public. I’ll see if I can get a write-up on early March, and my day in San Jose, at a toy/collectible show, and an afternoon and evening with friends at a cosplay gathering, and later in the day, in downtown San Jose.

Stay tuned! (I need to ramp up activity on here anyway!)

#112 – Semi-Monthly Update: FAQ Added, More Out And About Stuff…

I’ve been getting out, on my own, and with others, and there are a few more outings planned. I had a lot of fun this past Saturday, at the 4th Anniversary Social for the River City Gems up in Sacramento, CA. (Even though I was getting over a cold, and it was rather chilly in the evening, it was still a great day out.)

I’ve added a series of Frequently Asked Questions up here, as you’ll see up in the top menu bar. (If you’re not viewing this in the mobile-friendly version, which, of course, can be set to show the full non-mobile site on most smartphones. This site works in the webkit-based browsers on most smartphones.) – It’ll be the one source that I’ll refer back to from Facebook, Tumblr, Flickr, or elsewhere.

Why do I do this. Well, because I can, and I do want people to know about me, or at least attempt to understand. (Especially my friends I have come out to.)

Wow, this was a long update! More to come, whenever I can pull myself away from Lord Of The Rings Online – Geez, that game is addicting!

#111 – After A Brief Break, Back To The Good Part!

First off, reports of my Flickr account’s demise are greatly exaggerated. Here’s Wave One of the catch-up since the end of 2011!
Catching Up - 01 Catching Up - 03 Catching Up - 04 Catching Up - 05 Lips must always be perfect...
I’ll see if I can get a couple more up soon!

Other than that, still out of work, still pushing that envelope, and still exploring the hidden treasure and greatest adventure of my life that is… well… me. ^_^;

I’m back on track for weight loss, returning to Weight Watchers, tracking portions, food choices, and trying to integrate regular exercise into the program. Of note – A pair of size 24 Dickies Girl college pants I purchased back in the spring of last year are quite loose in the waist. I think I’m ready for size 22, or perhaps 20. ^_^;

More updates when I can. This is me when I’m running my own program… finally!

#107 – Everytime You Go Away (You Take A Piece Of Me With You)

(#107 in a limited-edition series! Collect them all – Yes, I used a Paul Young song title for the title of this post… Daryl Hall wrote it, Hall and Oates performed it before Paul Young covered it)

This is mirrored from a post I just send out on my Facebook (a public-viewable post) – and is being mirrored to PINKessence as well.

For every person on here who removed their Facebok account, and leaves their circle, I have to ask myself “Was our friendship real?” – “Are we all just easily discardable?”

And yes, I am aware of this saying:
“When people walk away from you, let them go. Your destiny is never tied to anyone who leaves you, and it doesn’t mean they’re bad people. It just means that their part in your story is over.”

#106 – Quick Update (Back Out Of The Rabbit Hole For A Bit)

(#106 for those keeping track. ^_^; )

I never did mention that I saw Jack & Jill at a local theater – as myself. (Not giving a damn what others thought of me.) I had fun, and never “broke character” the whole time through. (The film started a bit slow, but picked up – I’d say it’s up there, at least a somewhere behind The Wedding Singer – I never did bother to see The Waterboy, or Happy Gilmore, Big Daddy, or even 50 First Dates. – I saw Punch-Drunk Love when it came out years ago, but that was a film directed by one of my favorite directors (love him or hate him), P.T. Anderson. (Boogie Nights, Magnolia, There Will Be Blood)

And, I just realized, as I was getting my outfit ready for this coming Saturday (Going to the Super Toy Show in San Jose!), that it’s the exact same outfit I wore to the movies, and to the mall beforehand. (Including dinner at BJ’s – another successful night out as myself, including small talk with one of the ladies showing me to my booth. ^_^; )

Photo catch-up coming soon from my exciting (at least for me) November, including a lot of me time. ^_^;

I am continuing to smile, even in tough times – I will not be denied, forced back into the closet, or give up fighting for what I want – the chance to be out on my own, as myself, living my life, and reinventing myself as the person I was meant to be.

#105 – TDOR 2011 Epilogue – What Happened After…

(#105 in a series – This one was originally posted at Facebook – Entry here (May not work) – The Merc, of course, is The Mercantile Saloon on 20th and L streets in midtown Sacramento’s “Lavender Heights” area (Just one of many gay bars) – Cheap, strong drinks, and an interesting place where you’re guaranteed to see a few tgirls from time to time. ^_^; )

Fun stuff at The Merc near the end of the night. Two honest-to-god 3rd generation goths, having a mini-rave to Lady GaGa’s “Judas” on the jukebox.

One of them, a guy 20 years younger than I (Old enough to be my son), comes over to me, and we talk… about music, why Faces is a better place to party at than The Merc (Which is mainly good for cheap, strong drinks.)

He asked me if I was a nun. He figured out I was a tgirl. He was cool with it. He came up from South Central L.A.

We exchanged phone numbers. ^_^;

#104 – The (not-so) Short Version of Why Sunday Was A “Dead Julie Anne Day”

(Post 104 in a continuing series – Stay Tuned, recaps will return, but first, this somewhat serious entry.)

1. Totally exhausted from 2 days’ of 5 hours’ sleep on average, as well as two trips to and from the Bay Area (Friday in San Jose, Saturday in Burlingame.)

2. Bummed out from the double-whammy of not going to YaoiCon as myself (in boy-mode this year.), seeing others dressed up in goth/raver/cyber, crossplay, or other cute attire — As well as finding out that YaoiCon is moving to Los Angeles in 2012.

3. Impending need to get new insurance, in the wake of no more COBRA due to no more previous employer (shut down operations at end of September).
