Why “Pizza Parlor”?
Well, because we wanted to create an atmosphere that was kind of like the “good old days” of the 1970s and 1980s – Dimly-lit pizza places, with a jukebox (45 RPM vinyl records — remember those? / Eventually CDs), a couple video games and a pinball machine, good times, friends, family, and your favorite music!
Who Is Michael M?
He’s someone who grew up listening to DJs in the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s, and seeks to re-create his interpretation of running a 4-hour radio program, currently two nights a week. It’s never the same show twice. (Note: Michael M. is a character, and not necessarily related to any real-world disc jockeys, past or present. ^_^; )
What Music Does He Play?
Anything from the 1960s through today, mainly rock, pop, dance, alternative, “New Wave”, metal/hard rock, and the occasional country song, and of course, a few surprises here and there. (Watch for those rarely-heard-from songs once in a while, commercials, TV show promos, opening/closing themes, or a comedy bit)
Does He Do Requests?
Definitely! Hop in the Chat Room and let him know what you want to hear, or send a request to: email@example.com – If he has it, he’ll play it. If he doesn’t, he’ll find it, and then, he’ll play it!
