Mainly to show Mr. John Kavanagh (one of our Arizona representatives, and head of the State House Appropriations Committee, who brought us SB1045), and others that you have not broken my spirit.
There are several others in line ahead of them I have to deal with. The reason to be, to exist, is more important. I will not go back into a closet for anyone. Not family, not those who also fear (different kinds of fear?) and definitely not the state (if they harbor or are persuaded by the same fear.)
Did I mention I like being pampered? Massages (even those chairs with the “magic fingers” – put in me one for more than 30 minutes, and I will meow like the kitty that I am. =^_^= ), manicures, a trip to the hair salon (Hi, Mario – Thanks for taking care of me today! ^_^; ), and I’m sure there’s more.
I’m eager to have a makeover, probably at MAC or Sephora, or somewhere…
After an abysmally unfavorable signal-to-noise ratio over the last few months, I’ve taken the step of requiring CAPTCHA validation in order to post comments. I’m using it in conjunction with other tools I have here to cut down on my spam I’ve been receiving. Fortunately, it’s working, in fact, it was working too well. Out of over 265 comments, only two were legitimate, and two more were from me.
I don’t want to miss any actual comments, whenever this blog takes off and gets more well-known, but I’m trying to make my workload a bit more manageable.
I’m getting ready to head up there in a few hours, up to Sacramento, CA from my home. It will be my first time out in public, and in the company of others like myself. I hope to take some pictures, and of course, chronicle my experience there.
I’ll be posting when I have a chance. It should be fun! For those who are going – I’ll see you there soon!
Hugs and kisses,
— Julie Anne
