#86 – Interlude: Taking That Leap of Faith (Though I Fight My Own Doubts)

Here’s something to break a pattern: This is an entry that’s decidedly not about new pictures, or about my progress on my journey, for that matter.

I am driven to move forward; To prepare myself for being out on my own, to be able to fend for myself, to find someone to (hopefully) spend the rest of my life with, to be able to actually feel that I’m living, and not just taking up space, and accumulating stuff that won’t be of use to me when I’m gone from this world.

The Big Question: How to get from point A to point Z, and, of course, all the steps in between.

#85 – With A Little Help From My Friends… (Part II)

With a brief interlude, and also because I passed the 40,000 total view mark in just under 13 months on Flickr, and after a stream-of-consciousness post hammered out within 15 minutes, at Kara’s suggestion, I’m resuming my post series, where I’m highlighting and thanking some of the people who have played a significant part in my emergence online, and in real life. My journey is still continuing; My story is still being written, and everyone here, and elsewhere, is a part of it.

For reference, please see the last post, “With A Little Help From My Friends… (Part I)

#84 – Sleep Is Overrated… ^_^;

We Interrupt Your Regularly Scheduled Programme, “With A Little Help From My Friends… (Part II)” To Bring You The Following Julie Anne Project Special Presentation… ^_^;

(Only because my friend Kara T mentioned it – Yes, I am that easily impressionable – Why do you think I got into CSI: Miami, and became Yet Another Horatio Caine Cheesy One-Liner Fan?)

(Oh, it gets better – I watched my first full CSI: Miami episode this past weekend – It was a good one, though it was a repeat from Spring Break 2010 – and ironically, the one-liner that went right into the opening titles wasn’t spoken by Horatio this time… Awww.. ^_^; )

The first three days of 2011 were Dead Julie days, mainly because of my screwed up sleep habits, not having much of a plan, staying up most of the nights chatting with my girlfriends on PINKessence, and also the fact that it was either raining, or just cold outside. (And it’s been really cold the last couple of days, what with our area’s old familiar friend, the Tule Fog, drifting in. It’s a big, moist, cold, gray time out here, it’s chilly after the sun goes down, and kind of discouraging to even think of going outside. 😛 )

#83 – With A Little Help From My Friends… (Part I)

Just a few people out there I’d like to acknowledge. I may not get to everyone this time around, but I value everyone who I’ve made the effort to connect with, and those who have friended me back as well. We need friends, especially in our journey. We are not autonomous beings, no matter what we’re told by the world around us.

#82 – Pardon The Rubble…

Yes, the site looks different – The short story is this: I tried upgrading the theme I used, and it broke. It broke so bad that the entire site wouldn’t display at all until I switched to a backup theme. (I proceed to reinstall a previous version, still 1-2 steps up from what I was using, and basically had to re-tweak everything – sidebar widgets, color, placement of elements, etc.)

I’m happy with how it looks now – I hope it doesn’t seem too busy, or harsh on your eyes. Let me know what you think. (Oh! Apparently I got reCaptcha integration to work, finally. Google Friend Connect is off for now.)

Enjoy! Expect more outings and adventures coming up within the next few days!
